2JZGTE Datsun 240z Dragstrip pass

Back

Here's a video of my 9 second 2JZGTE powered 71 Datsun 240z turbo making a 9.22 pass at Orlando Speed World Dragway. The car is street driven and driven back and forth to the track ~ 25 minutes each way.

because you can get 600 horses w/ an all stock lower, and a bigger turbo.

idk if u can do that w/ an rb26

you can deffinatly get 600 hp out of an all stock bigger turbo rb26 but i love the 2jz both great engines

yeah, well, im pretty sure its easier to find a 2jz here in Fl. than it is an rb.

How much all together did you put into the engine? i have a 72 240z same color and would like to get a 2jz in mine. if you could give me a link to website were i can just buy the engine stock that would be sweet.

2 JZ? Bad Ass. But why not keepit a nissan with an RB? Theyre just as good.

Availability of parts, heat of the turbo on the passenger's side as opposed to driver's side, no interference problems with steering shaft, 3 liters as opposed to 2.6, and most of all, didn't really matter to me that it was not Nissan. :-)

RB or whatever motor, it's one sweet ass machine in the end.

No the main reason he lost is because he brought a POS to Race the best car on the planet!

Quick car, but driving to and from the track for a whole 25 minutes does not a street car make.
Still, quick machine.
