No, you're just a patriot.

So you look at his fingers and see rings? I see giant metal spikes. I say look at his hands, the only thing you notice is a small sivler ring, but you miss the giant claws. Look again man.

You obviously have no idea how big a following Watchmen has. Alan Moore is to comics what the Clash were to rock and roll.

Britain has no comic book icons? What, like Neil Gaiman, Dave McKean, Grant Morrison, Brian Bolland, David Lloyd, Pat Mills, Ben Templesmith, Steve Dillon...

Look at any anarchist, socialist, or libertarian revolutionary from that period, you will see basically the same grooming habits, and there is a reason for that. If you study it you will discover why, but I wont tell you because then you wont.

Doesn't matter. Stan's creations have reached more people, but if it made people happy is not as important as why. I was hugely satisfied at the end of every Alan Moore work I read, but there are a select few artists who drew and wrote Marvel characters over the years who are even remotely inspiring to me. But even then there's nowhere near the depth of appeal for me.

Stan Lee is not a genius, but his characters have brought happiness to millions of people. Can Alan Moore say the same? Better to bring a little more light into the world than more darkness. Spiderman will be around forever. The Watchmen, very doubtful.

and thats exactly one of the reasons why the film can't live up to the book
bobbybushae339 (November 30, 2008 at 6:41 pm)
yeah, i agree, cos stan lee is a genius, not a guy trapped in his child hood, and alan moore is a putz
and thats why everyone hates america
