if the koran is actually the word of an all seeing allah,
- then why doesn't it mention such things as planes, cars, computers, spacecraft landing on the moon,
?????????????????????
arabic is a phonetic language, so there is no reason why he could not have mentioned these items by, name, to muhammad. ??
the reason is, that the koran was written more than 100 yrs. after muhammad died, -
it is a collection of bits and pieces compiled from 9 different korans...

Philosophical choice? It's a form of grandiose delusional disorder known as theism!
Richard Dawkins and Daniel Dennett described it as a viral mental disease that's currently a pandemic in taday's world of the dark ages of thought, literally!
Look up Richard Dawkins documentary The Root of All Evil!

Easy there, fella. Being rabidly atheist is just as bad as being fundamentally Christian, Muslim or Jew. Extremes of philosophy--ANY philosophy--are usually exclusionary and counter-productive.
Dawkins and Dennett are great thinkers, but they, like everyone else, can be wrong. I agree that religion is more trouble than it's worth.
The truth is that NO ONE knows whether there is a god or not. I go with what I feel and now, I feel like having another cup of coffee.
Relax and join me.

Sorry to break your heart but the truth is that you're wrong and misinformed! Study the Big Bang, the formation and evolution of our solar system and the evolutionary history of life! And last but not least you should know that there's a form of psychoterapy designed specifically to treat those who suffer from theism, it's called Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy or R.E.B.T.
Have a nice day!

OOOOO! Another fundie!
Honey, there is also psychological treatment for homosexuality. Simply because a treatment exists for it doesn't make it a disease.
As rabid as you are about this, I have the feeling you've exchanged one extremist view for another......Islam to Atheism? Was that the move?
ANY EXTREME PHILOSPHY IS DANGEROUS. It refuses to entertain any other possibilities and become dogmatic and punitive. And make no mistake, Atheism is just a philosphy, just like any religion.

Wrong again!
You see atheists don't engage in holy wars or murder people like extremists! And what? Are you saying that homosexuality is not a mental disorder? Leave any fantasies that might be comforting!

BTW, I have studied all those things and came to a different conclusion.
Personally, I feel that the beauty, majesty and glory of the Universe couldn't exist withoug a Creator of some variety. I see no contradiction in religion and science. Why can't natural processes be the tools of Creator?
While I don't assume the arrogance of the desert dogmas and attempt to define my Creator, I do feel the presence of Creator and feel everything is too wonderful to be accidental.
It's all a guess.

If you're going to postulate that some deity created everything, ask yourself what created that deity! And based on what you said I can tell that you haven't really studied it! Or do you even know what a singularity is?
