What really bothers me about Harper, he doesnt even have any thing he truly stands for, he will change his mind about any thing providing it comes from George stupid ass Bush, or some right wing racist and sexist fuck that calls him self a conservative in the states.
Now Mr Stephen Punk ass Harper is really lost, that Obama won, lets just wait and see how he will act.

What about good ole Jean Stalin? He truly governed like a dictator, but I'm sure no Lib would ever admit it.

They prefer to use tasteless attacks, while voting for the party which ran Canada like its own little criminal enterprise.

Politicians are doing their jobs - debasing our currency, giving our rights and resources to corporations, and subverting dissent (Montebello provocateurs, remember?).

Maybe someone in the "arts" will have the balls to tell the truth - that "right" and "left" politicians work for the same corporate overlords that own the White House.

Partisanship aside, Harper has been really good at implementing policies that are best for Canada not what the propagandists want you to believe. the arts gaffe was a good example.

CBC did a good report on how Chretien/Martin and Harper define culture which, in the end, helps determine the allocation of money.

the diffference: Since Harper took office afts funding dropped from 3.34 billion to 3.29 billion. Maybe GST cut has something to do with it... or not?

Banks? Big Oil? what tax payer funding do we provide to them? Maybe manufacturing so that people have jobs. But we are talking about a 45 million cut in art programs. I personally want to make up my own mind on what I find to be art. Art is something that the people can handle. I would hate to think that my tax dollars are spend on some guys studio who is making ridiculous sculptures or someone's acting lessons. If people like the brand of art they will buy it. No need for North Korea policy.

Really? Have you seen "Two Girls, One Cup?"

Cause that's pretty gross.

And if we were to avoid a bail out, we would have needed stricter regulations, in the first place, So, again laissez-faire capitalism does not work. Great theory, except greed keeps getting in the way. The only reason neo-cons want everything deregulated is they believe in freedom; freedom for the ambitious to stomp all over anyone to get to the top. But, everytime, be it economic, military, you name it, they end up being their own worst enemy; and unfortunately take a few million down with them

When the Liberals won their "majorities" with Chretien it was the same case with the vote being split on the right. Bottom line is there is a conservative party in power right now. When the left is not divided then the Liberals can go back to their supposed divine right to govern and NO Canada won't ALWAYS be leftist. If you actually looked at the policies of the Tories, they are based on common sense not socialism like the left. You're the one talking about an IDEAL democracy. Not reality.
