Fair tax is the way. Imangine getting a salary of $52,000 a year. You get $1000 a week. Current tax, you get $666. Fair tax you get $1000 per week. Tax is generated when you spend money. Say you spend $20,000, you are taxed $20,000 x 23% = $4,600. With current tax system, you pay 33% x 52,000 = $17,160. Fair Tax gives more money in hard working Americans. It attracts companies here to the US because no corporate tax. Means more high paying jobs. America can now take on China.

"Current tax, you get $666" ...
Incorrect. No quintile pays 33% in effective federal taxes. THe top 1% only pay about 31%*.
The middle classes pay 8-18%*. Under an FT, fairtaxorg/BHI's own numbers show the average effective rate of the middle classes and upper classes as around 19%.
So the top 1% receive a huge tax cut and the middle classes get a huge tax raise to make up the difference (revenue neutral, remember).
*includes ALL FiCA and CIT and Excise Taxes, Source=CBO

Earn $10k - $150k a year? Want to pay more taxes and have less leisure time on average? Then the FT/NST is the wacko tax for you!
"In the aggregate, some households* would not be as well off for the first couple of years**. However, a stronger incentive to invest and save would cut into consumption, and the greater incentive to work would cut into leisure."
tinyurl 593htl, page 31
*those making $10K-$150K a year
**5-10 years, minimum

MarkDouglasC (the child molester) is not telling the truth on this one. Anyone who reads his comments knows how he tends to twist things and stretch the truth. I read the article that Mark is referring to. Boortz didn't "admit" anything. Please take Mark up on his offer for the link to the article and see for yourself. The FairTax has Mark just a little worried. The more he rants, the more worried he is. Best to just ignore him.

Bruce -- Fairtax now admits -- Boortz admits -- that you WONT keep that money you used to pay in taxes -- you WONT get that money on your paycheck underfairtax.
They have "clarified" that "misimpression". your employer can keep the money you used to pay in taxes that was deducted from your check. Your employer decides -- not you. Fairtax now says you take home the same as before -- no more, under Fairtax.
Surprised? So was I. Want the link to Boortz "clarifying it?" Email me.

A graduate (economics) knows that wealth consolidates (the bases of the game Monopoly) Because of this economic law, when we did not have income tax in the 1900's we had Robber Barrons, monopolies, trusts and indentured servitude (slavery through debt -white people by the way) and ZERO middle class.
A middle class is ARTIFICIALLY created with taxes and wealth redistribution.
How does a Fair tax redistribute to avoid the law of wealth consolidation?
