They both hold their sticks in that jazz style..... which makes sense, but god damn it's way harder for me to hold them like that and do those crazy rolls...

god buddy rich is NOT fair, he is hands down, best drummer of all time
and sure he might of been a dick, but wouldnt u if u were the best drummer ever.
Like seriously wouldnt u just walk in bars and screem "IM the best Fucking drummer in the world!"

Of course Buddy Rich is amazing but Ed Shaughnessy was a great, great drummer also...crazy how the Late Night Shows got some incredibly talented drummers like Shaughnessy and one of my all time favs Anton Fig on Letterman.

Yeah I agree Drummerofchicago, Buddy Rich was the best in his time, but he was also the worst personality wise. In his band it was considered an honor to not be fired by him in your first practice session

Buddy could be a prick! my cousin played in vegas and Buddy was making a comments about another drummer. my cousin idolized Buddy. until the negative comment nobody was better than him he was a legend in his own mind but he was great drummer but a smartass loved him any way
