No, I don't think that the next president has been pre-ordained. But I do think that some people don't have much chance of getting the nomination. For example, if I said I was pretty sure that I would be the next Republican candidate for president you would probably think I was delusional. You'd be right. I think that the RP supporters who insist that he is in the running are less delusional than that but still not addressing reality.

Yes, but he wasn't as prepared to explain the answer, when challenged. Still, these people remain well ahead of the supporters of any other candidate in the area of ability to explain their support.

2 I think that those odds are probably inflated because at such low probabilities it's hard to accurately predict what will happen. But the odds of him being the nominee are still really low because outside of his supporters, no one else seems to even be taking him seriously.
