Deportation on a mass scale would not be necessary with employee verification, removal of benefits and enforcement of current law. The vast majority would go home and demand reform from Mexico-THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. Legally, illegal aliens can be imprisoned up to 6 months for the 1st illegal entry. The compassionate position is to let them go home. It would be impossible to imprison all the illegals(up to 20 million)
therefor the border needs strengthening first.
