Caught the Dead for the Obama re-union show and the deadheads were drinking the kool-aid and dancing like freaks! The DEAD are back baby! Spring Tour 2009 !!!

I'm from Tennessee and this is their most badass song next to Cumberland Blues.

this is quite possibly the best song and band ever. Grateful Dead RULES!

You can tell Jerry's strung-out pretty bad here. Definitely a good call on the "Persian Night". Certainly one of those this time.

Jesus this song still rocks!

this one the best "Jerry" GD songs the lyrics are straightforward; he had so much fun singing about a poor guy from Tenn. that "fell down 4 flights;cracked his spine ,stays up and rocks it all night, got beat up Charlie Ford ,and his dog even told him he better head on back to Tennessee." i love this band ; don't know if its a Hunter-Garcia tune or someone else-- ex; "Mama Tried" by Merle Haggard, who wrote this awesome song?

Fabulous sound quality --clear, crisp and dear goodness me LOUD! Garcia drifts a bit with the lyrics (gotta believe it was one of those, ahem, *Persian* nites, mm hmm), but Phil is fantastic and the ensemble jam from 5:21 onward is just enormous. Great find and thanks for posting.

Some parts of Tennessee are very nice. Take it from someone who lives there. But you are right, some parts are a bit scary, and the firework shops annoy me as well

Tennessee is all good -- from Memphis to Mountain City, from Reelfoot Lake to Ducktown.
