The solution is to build missile defensive systems which make the nukes useless by conventional delivery means. Because we saw what negotiations got with N.Korea they built them anyway. Iran is building them too, and hope isn't going to stop them.

every country including my own are complete idiots, boo to the french for the concept and BOO to america for going through with the tests and finally creating and detonating, boo to my own countery and SHAME on all those who have them... yes radiation is a french idea :)

Only 150 kilotons? Aren't there bombs in 50-100 megaton range? That would essentially remove NYC from the map.

Sure, there are ICBMs that would make 150kt look like a firecracker. But most of the US arsenal are MRBM or SLBMs, and are not that big. Bear in mind that about 50% of the US arsenal are housed aboard our Ohio class submarines at sea.
