Nuclear Bomb - First H Bomb test
BackIvy Mike was the first H Bomb test, it was exploded at 7.15 am local time on November 1st 1952. The mushroom cloud was 8 miles across and 27 miles high. The canopy was 100 miles wide. Radioactive mud fell out of the sky followed by heavy rain. 80 million tons of earth was vaporised. Mike was the first ever megaton yeild explosion.

Damn.....i wished nukes were rounded up and stored in a underground armory....so when we REALLY needed to use them they would be taken out.....the thought of countries testing bombs but promising to use them as a last resort really makes my skin crawl.....

i think it was the atomic bomb that was dropped on hiroshima (correct me if i'm wrong) had the explosive power of about 10 thousand tons/26 million pounds. The hydrogen bomb had the explosive power of 26 million tons, thats the equivilant of 800 hiroshima bombings. humans are becoming too powerful =D
