60 Ft Lauderdale Boat Show, Zeus, Viking & SanLorenzo Yachts
BackEP 60 - More from the 48th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (held October 25-29). We continue where we left off on Wednesday with some more exciting boats and accessories featured at this year's show.
There was quite a lot to see--and even test--under the Engines Tent at the boat show's Bahia Mar venue.
Watch as Julie tries out what it is like to maneuver a boat equipped with the new Zeuz Propulsion System from Cummins MerCruiser Diesel.
Listen as Ted Varner of Cummins MerCruiser Diesel explains a bit more how the pod drive system works.
Driving the boat with the joystick means you can make a 360-degree pirouette... even move sideways, making docking a piece of cake.
Station keeping capabilities also allow you to keep a boat in position without having to touch the wheel or controls and let your boat sit exactly in place, despite wind and current...and without thrusters.

It wasn't all about the engines themselves at this year's show, but also ways of caring for your engine.
Are you tired of cleaning your boat because of diesel exhaust from your generators?
TheBoaters TV caught up with Tony Watson from Centek Industries, makers of marine exhaust systems, and he told us about their Gen-Kleen Filtration system.
This patented system binds hydrocarbons to a filter system and discharges nearly clean water without sheen.

Finally today: While Americans tend to love purchasing their luxury goods from overseas, when it comes to service, foreign manufacturers don't always measure up to the more demanding U.S. Consumer.
Many successful foreign builders have joined in partnerships with U.S. boat manufacturers in order to deliver the best of both worlds.
A great example of such strategic partnerships is the recent union created between Viking Custom Yachts and Italian yacht builder SanLorenzo.
Debuting at this years show were the 88' and the 108' models.
TheBoaters TV caught up with Viking Marketing director James Nobel to tell us a bit more about the new line of custom yachts now being built on one side of the Atlantic, but aimed at American buyers on the other.
We also got a chance to step inside the 88' and 108' Viking Custom Yacht by SanLorenzo.
TheBoaters.TV, hosted by Julie Perry, airs 5-7 minute episodes every M, W, and Friday at -- also available on iTunes.
