White America Victimized by Black Anger About Racism?

Back

When Barack Obama spoke in Philadelphia, PA at Constitution Center, on matters not just of race and recent remarks but on the fundamental path by which America can work together to pursue a better future, I shouldn't have been surprised to see some on the right and in the corporate media continue to focus on what divides us as I show in this video.

true enough, but my opponet in this "debate" is obsessed with the past and intent on loathing me simply for mistakes my ancestors may or may not have made.

As for Obama, I have a bad feeling that his election may cause a lot more racism that it heals. Guess we'll see though.

why do white folks always bring up slavery as if that was th only form of racism

i think people need to learn to properly channel their anger. in the case of rev wright, rather than holding hatred toward all white people, only hate those that were slave owners and those that are still racist.

I don't think excuses really serve the topic at hand. Doesn't really matter if all, most, many, or just some white people owned slaves. Whether your family owned slaves or your family came over in the late 1800s or 1900s things were still going on then. The vast majority of white Americans although not taking part in institutionalised racism took a blind eye to it then and well into the last century. I'm just hoping that Obama's election brings about more dialog and less excuses.

well that's not what the history books say. I suppose you could give me some line about whites writing history the way they want it, but with that logic ALL historical texts are biased on way or another.

So I use common sense, and common sense says the average poor white couldn't afford slaves.

Regardless, I personally have not benefited from slavery so you can just fuck off

I urge to read and research the civil right movement.
America has unpaid debt to African Americans. Trust me you'll come to terms with this truth. If you do your research.

"A VERY small percenatage of whites owned slaves."

Oh Really? According to the U.S. Census of 1830, the "MAJORITY" of southerners "OWNED" slaves!

Ira Rosenwhite, a respected so called jewish authority who published jewish population studies, said & I quote:

"75% of southern households held black men, women & children as slaves. Even more striking, in 1890, when slavery was abolished, 2/3 of ALL housholds in the "united states had slaves."

Try again. That lie aint workin' either..
