RE-FLEX - Hurt - 1984

Back

RE-FLEX "HURT". The follow-up single to "The Politics of Dancing" didn't quite live up to the hype of the debut hit, but it still managed to climb halfway up the charts and get some decent rotation in the clubs.

BRINGING 4GOTTEN TRAXXX BACK TO THE MASSES!

We're posting audio versions of long-forgotten music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s for your listening pleasure. We tend to focus on songs or versions that either have no existing video or one that is not posted on YouTube, and/or are out-of-print, rare and difficult to find.

WE PROVIDE THIS SERVICE FOR YOUR LISTENING PLEASURE ONLY, any copying, reproducing or downloading is strictly prohibited. We do not trade or sell mp3s, so don't even ask. All of the items pictured come from private collections, and they are not for sale.

Our purpose is to highlight songs that have been unjustly ignored over time, to reunite fans of these long-lost artists, and to hopefully generate enough renewed interest in these past classics to inspire the music industry to offer these songs for sale as legal downloads or reissue these them as compilations.

ENJOY AND REMINISCE!

I'm posting in the various Re-Flex video comments to inform/remind everyone that Re-Flex are going to be releasing a CD box set which will include "The Politics of Dancing" album, the second album, "Humanication", plus 2 others, and all their singles and B-sides. There is an official web site for inquiries about the CDs. Also, lead singer/guitarist John Baxter and I have set up a special e-mail for fan Q&A. Anyone interested in more info let me know, and please pass the word along. Thanks!

I just remember the actual video had an electronic dog in it that gets kicked. I actually think this one is better than "politics of dancing" although nowhere near a hit.

Another YouTube member called 80sVidz has posted the actual video. Add the following to the YouTube main URL and you'll find it -- but make sure there's only ONE front-slash after the "dot-com":

Re-flex, truly one of my favorite albums of the 80's. This album was almost sounded "Sonic" it was mixed so well. Still one of my favorite albums to sing to. It's ashame that this band might have got lost in the shadows of Duran Duran. Although i thought Re-flex was more sophisticated sounding Great rhythms and melody.
