Ron Paul : Stop Dreaming

Back

Congressman Paul's consistent voting record prompted one of his congressional colleagues to say, "Ron Paul personifies the Founding Fathers' ideal of the citizen-statesman. He makes it clear that his principles will never be compromised, and they never are." Another colleague observed, "There are few people in public life who, through thick and thin, rain or shine, stick to their principles. Ron Paul is one of those few."

Ron Paul should name John Edwards as his running mate. That would sew up the "family values" vote. And maybe john could hook up ron with some "young stuff".

..As for less government...It makes sense. He has said he wants government to be smaller. If it is smaller, it is easier to account for and definitely cost less. At present, it seems that Government has outgrown their britches and forgotten who they work for. We can throw corporations into that equation as well; for they influence politics and were it not for them, they'd of had to cover all the candidates; Not just the ones with their interest at heart.

...and I don't know what you hear when you listen to Ron Paul, but he has repeatedly said that we should communicate with other countries; which to me, translates into the opening dialog for such things as "trade agreements". As for federal regulations...I just read part of a letter from Ron Paul to the F.D.A., who according to the letter, wasn't acting on par with the law or the constitution, and had lied to congress. If anyone would believe in federal regulation, I think it would be him...

LazyHippi, I like the name B.T.W. I don't know how old you are or where you're from, but at 47 and a child of N.Y.C. Alphabet city, I can remember clearly, the actual hippies and the peace they believed in, and I believe they would've voted for Ron Paul and picketed the current administration daily. To things Americans consider conspiracy today, they'd of said..."that's far out man; I'll have to smoke a doobie on that one". They were dead set against being told how to live their lives...

IF he can show a legitimate plan.

so basically the plan is less government, the market will balance it self and voila-justice is done?

NO! I believe in trade agreements, federal regulations. The market will only exploit, the people are ushered into consumption, mindless competition. People are made slaves to capital. WE, the people must dictate the economic system. Ron Paul is wrong.

I'm with Stormybo on this one; mind you, prior to Ron Paul, I was apathetic; believing that since all politicians did was lie (as far as I was concerned,) that what was the sense of even voting; then I heard about Ron Paul. I didn't understand why he kept speaking of the federal reserve; for while I heard of it, I didn't understand it's role; thank technology for YouTube; for here is where I would find some awesome documentaries; Money Banking & The Federal Reserve being one of them...

some of you simply amaze me at how close-minded you are. you have been spoonfed the same policies places like fox news want you to hear. ron paul could start the revolution to make america great again with little government intervention, fewer wars, and virtually no debt. the best government weve ever had was back in the old days when there was no government at all. also known as self-governing. if ron paul can show he has a legitimate plan to do all of these things, idk how we can say no

I enjoyed this. Ron Paul is certainly a level-headed, clear-thinking man of integrity. It's a nice change from all those fakes: they're either too timid to make any real changes, uninterested in change because they're profiting from the corrupt status quo, or they have no real idea HOW to go about changing anything. All style, no substance. I like Ron Paul--he's got both! I doubt his voice is going to predominate though. Until the LORD comes again, deception and greed will have their day.
