Notre Dame scores a late touchdown vs. Georgia Tech, enabling senior walk-on Dan Ruettiger to play in ND's final home game of 1975. Though uncredited by radio announcer Don Criqui, Ruettiger sacks the quarterback on the final play of the game, achieving a lifelong dream of playing football for Notre Dame. Special thanks to KH for marrying the game film to the original radio broadcast.

I caught the "Raible" reference as well! Had no idea he was in this game. He's also the radio play-by-play guy for the Seahawks.

Wow, so that was his big sack?? At MOST he had about 1/3 sack and maybe he didn't even have that. I've heard that the movie was about 90% fiction and this supports that. Golic said the whole "turning in the uniform thing" was phony too.

ok, soy Rudy Allen was the GT QB and they credit the sack to Acterhoff... was the other guy Daniel E. 'Rudy' Ruettiger? or does this have anything to do with him at all?

Mensa, the Rudy game was 3o years ago.
Rudy attended Notre Dame on the GI Bill,
as he had served in the Navy, and was actually
28 when he was a senior there.

Yea sounds like at 1:03-1:04 right after Criqui says "... 20 yard line" you can hear a Rudy chant. And then right as he wraps the QBs legs as the QB gets rid of it sounds like someone in the stands near the press booth says "yea Rudy" at 1:08.
