I've been thinking about whether I should comment on this, since I don't want to be a spoilsport. But the point of this video is that the monkeys etc. are synchronized with the 1812 Overture. It's meant to seem like the windup toys and cow head are playing the music, and that the celery and eggs are the cannons. True to Kovac's sense of humor, it's an absurdist visual joke. The joke doesn't work if you play a different song.

True enough, and I hope people seek out the original! This is just my "loopy" take on the original. Remember, it is labeled as Kate Bush, not Ernie Kovacs.

I love the way he messes with the viewers by telling them "there's no little girl on my shoulder, there's something wrong with your set." Back then, somebody probably believed him. LOL
