J-E-L-L-O. You tell em. When punk was a scene for the few not a fashion statement. Dyed hair and faux-hawks on jocks and prom queens. I was a teen in the early 80's and I remember this stuff. it was so exciting an alternative to REO speed wagon and Journey.

this is probably a real stupid ass question but why isnt jello with them anymore? is it cause he's speaking and politics?
kummi90 (November 17, 2008 at 3:44 pm)
thats not a stupid questionn.. PLEASE correct me if im wrong but i think its becasue He think they're sell-outs? Or am i way off here?

There was a huge dispute between the former bandmates and Jello in the late 80s. Jello said it was because the other three were upset that he wouldn't let them use "Holiday in Cambodia" for a jeans commercial and the other three say that it's because Jello (who is the owner of the former DK label Alternative Tentacles) didn't pay them some royalty checks. It was in court forever, the "other 3" won but Jello still denies he did anything wrong.

We'll never know for sure who is right and wrong, I guess, but now that "the other 3" have reformed without Jello, we clearly see who had the talent in the band. They have not written any new song and haven't released any album of original material since.

they used dk songs in movies and commercials, and he critcized them for it..he was in a number of other bands afterward, but he does spokenword and speeches today(that is very amazing) and some shows with the melvins..
