Masterpiece by a very young Tim Burton(22 years of age when working for Disney Studios)!!!!

Excellent short movie by a genious!!!
Food for thought for parents and teachers who play such a vital role in a child's life.
This sounds like an elegy (mournful poem)that literally describes the death of a child; the flute succeeds in adding to the whole spirit of the story.

That´s the way adults can kill children's creativity and imagination. "....lifeless down on the floor......shall be lifted? NEVER MORE."

I really understand it, it is explaining in the film how children think, exagerating real life, children think they are grown up but their not, they play silly games and then when punished, feel like they are being locked up but in real life its not that bad. This is a brilliant Tim Burton short film and is definately going on my favorites list.

Why do we have to have our mood improved by the end?

Who cares if it doesn't end like some disney crap this is Tim Burton not Frank Capra.

This is an amazing short film and me along with a lot of people are glad he made it, we enjoy it because we relate to it not because we're hoping it'll cure our depression.

I have no idea what the previeus guy(it´s spelled wrong I know) is talking about, but then again I have only been living since '92, all I know is this movie gets better each time I see it

Tim Burton's first motion capture short or not, this was a terrible choice to put on before The Nightmare Before Christmas in 1993.

A more light hearted cartoon maybe Donald Duck or something would have led into the film better and made it's dark mood all the more effective. This just depressed us all and the film failed to improve our mood. Sad, as Nightmare is a good film, and so is Corpse Bride.
