That was very moving.......it resonated throughout my being. Truly beautiful. I've been inspired to look into Buddhism. Thank you for sharing.

We only have one life. It is this one. Use it well and be friendly.

NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO CHANGED MY LIFE! FOREVER SENSEI! I transformed my life from a drug dealing drunk who was lost and miserable to a happy human being who contributes to life. I am responsible because of chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo and strengthening my lifeforce and bringing forth my Buddhahood. I am grateful!

Buddist chants are similar to Christian's speaking tongues. Also, I wonder if she felt uncomfortable after Larry made that joke and after he asked her to chant.

i don't really like her music but think it's great she spreads the message of nichiren to everyone, mainly her fans... that's something other artists should do as well.

Tina Turner is the reason I became a Buddhist, and it was from my love and respect for her that started the long line of dominoes falling to where I am spiritually today. Though I am a Tibetan Buddhist, she still remains the first person who opened my eyes to look further. Thanks to her, thanks to my mother for buying me her album when I was 12...and thanks to everyone who prays for the happiness of all living beings.

It does, but also involves meditation, and chanting is a form of meditation. This particular chant is from the Nicheren school of Buddhism that developed later in the 13th century. (Buddhism is approx 2600 years old).
