Ignites great memories RSuelzer. At my 30 year school reunion in 2005 (wow, what a weekend) we relived the times like 15 year olds again. And the best part, we actually knew in '75 that we were experiencing something special with a tangible sense that the feeling would last forever. Thanks for the reply RSueslzer, its good to know others have shared a little of my dreaming.

I'm only 35 so i don't remember much about the 70's but i do remember walking to the store and back by myself. The merry-go rounds and the swings. Walking home by myself from school i didn't have to have someone with me.
I don't think kids much of that anymore.
SAD....

Top song, those were the days, when the kids could walk the streets in safety, they made their own fun and were SKINNY because they got out a lived and had fun. They weren't wrapped up in cotton wool. They ate choo choo bars, cobbers and wizz fizz's. You had heaps of swings in parks (not like now), the big merry go rounds where you would fly off & break an arm and you would ride billy carts down hills (no helmets). FUN.

I'm 49, father of 3 beautiful daughters and "was" a dead ringer for the young blonde guy in the red wind cheater. The video makes me smile, cringe, laugh and cry and I almost convinced myself it actually is me, my greatest mates and my gorgeous girlfriend who I married in '83. She passed away in '95. I now understand the myth of Woodstock...thousands upon thousands falsley claim they were there. Big deal...let us all hang on to dreams...false or otherwise.

Just wait a minute while I clear my eyes.
