"hopeful"--I don't assume anything about you. You certainly did imply that truth was relative/subjective in at least one of your posts, hence my response(s).

So, you think I'm wrong? Well, I hope I am. I hope you didn't mean to sound as you did; I just responded to the sound.

As for Olbermann-Scarborough, Olbermann is one of the sorriest people I've ever seen on TV, and he's totally unprofessional, antagonistic, trashy, and obnoxious. He's a typical left-wing journalist. No question.

LMFAO @ Matt Drudges douchebaggery.

"hopeful"--Apparently, you're not only not seeking the truth but also not paying much attention to your own comments/questions.

You have said and implied that truth isn't absolute--several times--and this type of scary worldview is poisonous.

I'm not going to be on here for a while, so don't assume that any silence on my part is somehow an agreement with what you're saying. The underlying premise of your beliefs is that no one's right or wrong, which is completely and utterly false.
Hopeful71 (September 4, 2008 at 5:29 pm)
"The underlying premise of your beliefs is that no one's right or wrong"

Never did I say or imply this. Curious that you "hear" this. I have not stated my "opinion" on right and wrong; you want to know? Then ask. Don't apply your pathetic strawmen to me.

You assume a lot....what does that say about you?

If you never reply that is fine. We both know this conversation will go nowhere & your "image" of me will never change. You had me all figured out from the first post. How will I go on?
objectivethirdparty (August 30, 2008 at 6:57 am)
"hopeful"--My name is not "ironic", my friend; it's supported by my actions.

You asked me how you sounded relativistic. For one, you did so when you said that extremism was the same down the line. No, it isn't. Extremism is neutral, intrinsically. It's wrong in the case of Islam (as is even the most passive of views), but one cannot be too much a believer in that which is right.

No, truth isn't relative. Opinions don't exist, actually. Something's either true, or it isn't.

Logout time.
Hopeful71 (August 31, 2008 at 3:08 pm)
"You asked me how you sounded relativistic."

I did?

Sorry don't remember asking or caring.

You believe in your right and wrong but it is your opinion and no better or worse then the next guy.

Objective: "undistorted by emotion or PERSONAL BIAS; based on OBSERVABLE phenomena"

Perhaps you don't know what irony is?
