at least back then:
music was still music,
there was no "Reality tv"
people still had manners and common courtesy
inventions and new discoverys were still exciting and new,
people got along with their neighbors
people worked hard and were proud of doing it

it seems like it was a more carefree time

now we got to worry about so much more
we work on sundays,
we lock our doors and fear our neighbors
nobody likes their job, everyones lazy and people take all our modern conveniences for granted.

So glad to see Dorothy Dandridge, who was Harold's wife there briefly, enjoying the dance. Somehow I appreciate the earlier Dandridge to the full blown Dorothy of Hollywood. Where did she learn to tap, by the way? Anyone out there know?
