Grassroots in Deaf Community

Back

I shared my opinions about "grassroots"-- what does it mean, and how is it deemed whether you are "grassroots" or not in Deaf community, where is it in San Diego, and finally my personal input about grassroots in San Diego.
Thanks to Jay Krieger for bringing up the grassroots in his vlog (which is quite a while ago!). Some references I made in the video was to Jay's vlog at

You are tooo coool!I'm an Ed.Interpreter and I've worked with many middle and highschool Deaf kids. One girl especially you remind me of.She is brilliant and stuck in the middle alone in many ways.I must admit some of your dialog gets past me (my bad and loss). I'm sending your BLOGS to friends and ASL students to watch. You share on very interesting subjects and provide a great challenge to receptive skill building. Blessings to you.

Deaf people need to stop complaining pertaining to their deafness. If Deaf people do nothing then hearing people will treat us like deaf people were treated during the dark ages. The Deaf community is a very deaf community and their voice is dying. You see the black community always make their voice but we as deaf folks are hiding in caves like bin laden. I am wondering what is wrong with deaf people that they are reluctant to show that they have the intellect to do what hearing people can do?

it was really neat to talk about that. grassroot never been happened to me. I am neither of grassroots or others. I liked your opinion. Addition: what happened to your side wall hole? it kinda got my attention. lol :-)

LOL... the hole in the wall was caused by a semi-falling TV. We used to have our TV in that corner-- then we changed it after a summer of glares from the window but the desk fell apart while my husband moved it-- all because the desk was NAILED... that fragile desk had been holding up a heavy TV!? My hub did save the TV but not in time to stop the TV from hitting the wall. D'OH!

I totally understand you. I graduated from Gallaudet, and many of my friends didn't go to Gally, and I miss having the good talks about life, news and etc. It's hard to be in both worlds at the same time.
