Universal health care does not manage decision making. It manages only the spending so that government PAYS for it, instead of having people go bankrupt for getting sick, which is a rather barbaric system.

There would be no lines under a universal health care system in the United States because we have about a 30% oversupply of medical equipment and surgeons, whereas demand would increase about 15%.

Greetings. Alzhimers, Diabete's. Many suffer with these disease's yet few ever take the steps to provide their own bodies with the necessary nutirents, and good organic food to prevent this form occuring. Individuals will say to their government."I eat junk food, I don't take care of myself and now I have Diabete's, what is the government going to do about it", Observe yourself, and observe your habits and patterns that lead to poor health. Love yourself. Help yourself.

Greetings.
Induviduals can if they choose observe themselves. Observe what food you put in your body. Observe your body. Your mental, emotional and physical as well as spiritual existence. You look to government to take care of you when your sick, but are un willing to take care of yourselves. The food that is mass produced is about as nutritious as a pile of sawdust. Take a good hard look at yourselves and if you want to be healthy you must choose health..
Love yourself..heal yourself.

you may be healthy now, but think of your future we dont live forever. It would be nice if every one was as healthy as you but, not everyone can be. No one can predict if they are going to be sick, or die. I hope for your sake you never get sick. You dont know how it feels to have the shoe on the other foot. Take care. :)

"Socialism" is an arrangement under which the means of production are owned by the state. Government-run health insurance is not "socialism," and only the ignorant would call it that. Rather, government-run health insurance is a form of "social insurance," that can be coupled with privately owned
for-profit or not-for-profit health care delivery systems.

P.S no amount of exercise will ensure you never get sick or need surgery.

One payer system is the only way to go.

Private health insurance is a private tyranny that only exists in United States. It's a rather barbaric system that tells you you're health is only worth what you can afford.

People in United States should get behind, and support, HR 676. If you don't know what it is learn about it! GM & Ford are going bankrupt because of the rising cost of health care. If United States had single-payer system, the companies wouldn't have to worry about it.
