the money that funds colombian narco-guerillas comes from only one place, the American durg consumer. Plan Colombia promotes social development and military action against the drug cartels and narco-guerillas, but US$1.2bn is not much compared to the 100's of billions the insurgents generate through the drug trade.

Plan Colombia has been good to our country. Our current government is now able to defend the national sovereingty, something that had not happened in the past century. Colombia needs help to overcome this crisis and the military aid from the US government is a start, but we need more help. The Seattle-Colombia committe does not speak on behalf of all Colombians. My family too has suffered from this war, but I support plan colombia
