I love the Bravery sound, its like a fresh re-mix of some of the 80's sounds I grew up with. I say let the band explore their own direction, just be careful not to become too much like The Cure sound - keep the electronica and mix it with some punk and raw elements - that is what I like about them, the seem fresh and original, but lean on some of the old sounds that have worked well in the past.

Why? To alienate their pop fans from their music. If you are getting bent up about their image you obviously don't care about the music.
