I think the story behind this song is this guy sat on his wall (his life of lies) and fell, and shaddered but people tried to help and put him together but with all the lies and stories couldn't help.

Oh come on. Humpty Dumpty is an egg. He's supposed to SHATTER. All the classic fairy tales are getting so wussified. No wonder the Generation Y kids think that stuff like the US version of _The Ring_ is actually scary

Yes its just part of the brainwashing for young children, Its teaching them there is a king and he has men that will pretend help you, but they will leave you splattered on the ground with nothing. Or it could just be an innocent nursery rhyme ;) That's it little eggy, go back to sleep now...
