I was into Ron Paul for a long time, but I hope Penn and the rest of his atheist/agnostic/secular supporters come to the reality that i so disappointingly have accepted: He's a religious fucking nut job. Look as his rants about the "Secularist Left", "War on Christmas", and this country's "Christian Foundation". It's a shame that somebody so in touch with the constitution can interpret "Congress shall respect no establishment of religion" in such a fucked up way. He truly is a republican.

I think he knows that but also knows that Paul, as somewhat of a libertarian-constitionalist, would put aside his on opinion to protect peoples basic freedoms.

You would think that from his normal behavior, bu his record shows quite the contrary: He has voted several times to keep the ten commandments in front of the court house, he has voted several times to include "alternate theories" to evolution, and has voted earlier in his career for forced prayer in school. As I said, this is the ONLY issue that he sacrifices his strict adherence to the constitution for. Other than this I agree with him most of the time.

That is rather shit. Shows how some religious people can't get passed their beliefs.

I don't care who he supports. He's still a douche.
I voted for Ron Paul in the primaries, but I wouldn't piss on Penn to put him out if he were on fire. I'd let the bastard burn!
