no groups will ever bring peace. NONE. No governments, nothing. No one helps there because there is no oil to tap or resources to exploit. There is just no $. That is why the bible predicts everything that is happenning around the world. Read Mathews 24:1-14 and you'll be surprised.

you're fucking stupid if you believe that. I spent several months working with the movement groups and have lived in Oaxaca and el DF. Every leader I have met was a native Oaxacan--there were a few Oaxaquenos who study at la UNAM and came back to help out their friends and families. That was the extent of "foreign" involvement in the protests. And look at Morelos, there is support nationally, if not for the APPO itself, then for the ideals it was fighting for.

First you are not mexican, you are american illegaly participating in that movement that it's a limitation in our political associations. Second anarquist groups like what you represent are not the solution and are just a bunch of weed smoker's guys. And third is what the laptop of Raul Reyes number 2 in the FARC has connections with the APPO as el pais one of the best media in spanish shows on jul 30, 2008 by puntoyaparte in a special section called "la comunidad" sorry but I can't put the link

Your answer shows just how out of touch you are with the everyday lives most Mexicans confront. Perhaps Raul Reyes has connections with APPO participants, but since the APPO lacks a hierarchical structure, it really has no bearing on the direction the APPO takes. Besides, these "anarquistas" hate the FARC, so that doesn't really make sense. As for illegal, it's apparently OK when rich Americans meddle in Mexican affairs, maybe it's illegal but at least confront it across the board.

Also, when my friends and neighbors are beaten up and jailed, for whatever reason (since you'll probably say they deserved it), shouldn't I have a right, regardless of my citizenship, to help them? Constitution aside, is that not the just and humane thing to do?

FARC my ass if they had connections with guerrilla they would be armed at least, but theyre only weapons were stones and sticks. really you need more information sources because youre only limiting your view to extremly conservative media.
