The Death of The Internet?

Major telecommunications companies are spending millions lobbying the U.S. congress to make the Internet into a private network. In political lingo this mean abandoning what is called "Net Neutrality". In common sense terms it's about the government withdrawing our right to Internet Freedom. This V-Doc. (viral documentary) is about the current threat to Internet Freedom and how we can hold on to the open Internet and our right to communicate.

The only way the telecommunications companies will be successful is if we fail to raise awareness about this situation. If people find out about the fact that we are about to lose our Internet freedom there is no way they will allow congress to do this.

This congressional decision will set a monumental precedent, and thus, impact not just U.S. citizens, but citizens all over world.

actually the amount of gasoline used in the last year in the united states has gone down 30% thats why the gas prices are as low as 2$ now and if they take control of the internet ill call my friends, hack their asses when they are weak and turn the world wide web back on!

They'll lose money big time, ppl will stop using it as much, and then these pirates will go under. Ppl will just find some other way to side step around it. They always do.

Gee I seem to remember two big communications fields where the pirates succeeded... radio and television. Definitely couldn't happen to the internet like that. Because there's more money involved and bigger profits, plus less competition, that makes for a stable market, right?

I like how you all complain about how you're going to quit paying these fat ISPs until they go your way. Gas went up to $4 a gallon, and yet..I didn't see a difference in traffic flow. Still driving..still paying.. Same is going to happen with the Internet (Soon to be The Grid). Lets just hope we have a rebirth of another Internet. Rinse and repeat.

The new internet GRID = The possibility of Faster Speeds.

The GRID will be implemented on a cut over basis and replace the internet as we know it because everyone will want to be on the GRID because of its faster speeds and you will be charged to use and access it. They make it sound so good, faster speeds. A majority of people will move over to the GRID for this reason to get faster speeds. And the GRID will be controlled by the corporations the internet is a treat to them.

The internet's founding principles are saying that we should all be equal, all users should not have a unfair advantage over another, and this GRID is destroying all of this

If we spread the word this will not happen. Save Net Neutrality.
