(WSB Radio/AP) -- Authorities say two children have been critically injured after a school bus overturned in eastern Cherokee County.
Greg Argo, supervisor for the Cherokee County 911 Center, says the bus lost control Monday morning on Highway 140 near Canton in a single-vehicle accident.

WSB's Herb Emory, flying over the scene in the WSB Skycopter, said he could see skid marks and that the front end of the bus was severely damaged.

The students were on the way to Sequoyah High and Dean Rusk Middle School.

Argo says 28 other children suffered minor injuries but were not hospitalized. He had no report of the bus driver being injured.

Yea it was, i was on it! we were on our way to a feild trip (Our bus driver always seemed to be high or drunk) Then we started to slide and my friends and i were like clawing the seats and we fliped over. Most of us had a couple sprains and bad brusies. These 2 7th graders broke their arm. (we paid $80 for nothing, we didnt go in the field trip) So yeah it was scary!!!
