ZOMG Scoobaru is the bestest and Skoda is shit, lol.

What a muppet. Take a look at tarmac WRC events in 2005. The Fabia WRC was a decent rally car and scored some good results, more often than not trading places with, or beating the Subarus. Let's also not forget that Rossi has won the Monza rally on more than one occasion.
It would be intersting to see Loeb and Rossi head to head in an similar event, but we will see them both in front line machinery on Rally GB this weekend.

to the last 2 atupid comments. they both start on the same line that they finish on n its the same amount off laps. so i dont want to point out the obvious but they both travel the same difference u complete idiots. no wonder you carnt eat your soup. use a spoon not a fork.

The first time they cross the line, McRae is ahead. The next time, when Rossi does the shorter loop, he is ahead. The next, McRae again. It then ends on a loop where Rossi is ahead. If it had gone a lap further, McRae would have won. A lap further than that, and it would have been Rossi again. It would keep alternating depending on whoever did the shorter loop last.

I don't know if it's been noted already in the previous 500 comments, but if you watch the video closely it's fairly obvious why Rossi won. It's nothing to do with the cars or the relative skill of either driver.

Each time they cross the start/finish, a different driver is ahead, one of the loops is shorter than the other, so as one driver is doing the slower loop, the other is doing the quicker loop. See my next comment above ^

Notice that McCrae WASNT in the Subaru. They pitched it this way so the better car driver was driving a worse car in order to make it a close race. Anybody who knows about Rossi knows he is a superbly gifted driver, but if the cars were switched he never would have won. That said you could have put Rossi on a scooter and McCrae on a Ducatti and I reckon Rossi would still have won that one!

True what you said.
I am super impressed with Rossi though. I had no idea the boy can derive like that.
