RFID Passport Shield Failure Demo - Flexilis

Back

The FLX[2006‐0605] video security brief demonstrates a real‐world
vulnerability associated with the failure of the shielding component in the current
proposed electronic passport design. When partially open, as could be the case when in a
pocket, purse, or briefcase, the currently proposed passport can be detected by a nearby
inquiring RFID reader. The security brief also demonstrates an improved shield design
that requires a passport to be significantly open before reading is possible.

What use does that list have?

Is it to stop bad guys?

Please help enlighten us as to how the men behind the curtain work to make us all so damn safe.

Maybe during your explaination the revelation of why you should not call someone stupid when you do not understand what they are saying will come to you.

Dont be fooled, they want control, and use the terrorists as an excuse to get it.

the safest thing to do to prevent this is to not to RAPE EVERY FUKIN TRASHCAN YOU PASS BY!
you need to be really close to the scanner in order for it to find the chip.

...

are you stupid? It's a security risk because of the fact someone can STEAL YOUR IDENTITY, therefore, making the "terrorist no fly list" useless.

I call this scare marketing.--

Terrorists issued the passports to begin with. Their not concerned with the users saftey.

Get ready for carbon credits people.

The smartest thing is to just disable the chip. Bang it with blunt object or 'accidently' put it in the microwave for a few seconds.

You need to protect yourself, the government doesn't care if you die from a terrorist bomb.

More people die from peanut allergies annually than terrorist related incidents.

i enjoyed this video and learned a lot. the experiment was brilliant. probably, bombs have been detonated overseas by unwitting people who have an rfid tag or certain nationality. very very interesting. you kids are geniuses.
