I know anime is basically can be considered a cartoon but I dont like to think of them like that, cuz they have better graphics and are just cooler. And this anime is about a vampire girl who doesnt drink blood she injects it into people.

a japanese person would translate the word "anime" to "cartoons" in english.. english people just call japanese cartoons anime to differentiate western cartoons from japanese ones.. if that makes sense. so him calling this a cartoon isnt wrong at all
