2: Paul Levinson vs. Jesse Ventura on media sensationalism
BackI debate the former Governor of Minnesota - Jesse Ventura - on the pros and cons of media coverage of sensationalist events such as trials and murders. From Jesse's short-lived "Jesse Ventura's America". I flew out to St. Paul for this taping, and very much enjoyed it. This is Part 2 of a 2-part video clip.

Dr. Levinson makes a good about the FCC. I believe the FCC goes back to the Radio Control Act of 1927. When you look at its genesis, it was designed purely to suppress political dissent. Before then, the free market was handling the allocation of the airwaves just fine, by applying the homesteading principle to the airwaves in the courts.

I see you not only have a foul mouth, but not much of a brain: when exactly do you think the "plan" you speak of will come to fruition?

Your analysis and instincts are right - thanks for the comment.

Jesse's show was canceled because he opposed the war. Since GE owns NBC do you think there was a conflict of interest? GE makes big bucks selling airceaft engines for military jets and helicopters. Do you think war is good for business ? How about that huh?

operation mockingbird anyone? Jesse ventura is clearly a very intelligent man with great debating skills,He's a former navy seal, governor and wrestler. Operation mockingbird documents can be obtained from the library of congress by the way.

Yes, he's an EXCELLENT debater, and not only does that come from his intelligence but also the fact that he has righteousness on his side, he has no "Agendas" to fulfill, he is speaking from his HEART.

3 television networks in 1963? And you are happy that there are now 5 corporation in charge of today's television networks?
Why don't you tell us how many channels there were available in 1963. Or do you not remeber those televisions that had the 13 channels with only 1/3rd of them available?
